The conference "Approaching the opus of Dimitris Papaioannou: From the intimate to the universal" kicked off with opening remarks by associate professor Eleni Papalexiou, the principal investigator of the Genesis project, Katerina Kouravelou (HFRI-ELIDEK), Haris Romas (Region of Attica), Janis Vakarelis ('Megaron' Athens Concert Hall), Olivier Descotes (Municipality of Athens - Municipal Music Theater “Olympia-Maria Callas”), Alexandros Charkiolakis (Friends of Music Society) and Marina Tsoulou (Panayiotis and Effie Michelis Foundation).
